Important School Guidelines and Policies


We are thrilled to welcome you and your little one to the Vatsalya family. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand our school routine, expectations, and how we ensure a joyful and safe learning environment for your child.

School Timings

  • School Start Time: 9:00 AM sharp
  • Dispersal Timings:
    Nursery: 12:00 PM

  • KG-1 & KG-2: 12:45 PM
  • Arrival Deadline:
    9:10 AM
  • Gate closes at 9:10 AM. No entry will be allowed after this time.
  • First 10 Days: School will be for 2 hours only to help children settle in comfortably. School reopens on 23rd June. Regular timings will begin after 10 days.

Weekly Activities

  • Wednesday: Sports Day
  • Thursday: Music Day
  • Friday: Fun Friday
  • Includes non-academic activities like storytelling, crafts, games, role play, outdoor activities, mind building, social interaction etc.

Uniform & Personal Hygiene

  • Children must wear black shoes every day. No colored shoes, sandals, or slippers allowed.
  • Girls: Neatly tied ponytail with black rubber band or hairband.
  • Boys: Hair must be neatly trimmed.
  • Pre-Nursery, and Nursery children must carry an extra set of clothes daily in their bag (in case of spills or accidents).
  • Children must come to school clean and tidy every day.

Food Policy

  • Only home-cooked and healthy food should be sent in the tiffin box.
  • Junk food is strictly not allowed.
  • Chips, Packaged Snacks, Chocolates, Soft Drinks not allowed.
  • Occasional treats may be allowed during celebrations with prior permission.
  • Parents are advised to provide a healthy, balanced diet for their child and pack meals in reusable containers, avoiding disposable plastics or foil/paper wrapping.

Attendance & Health Guidelines

  • Regular attendance is encouraged.
  • Do not send your child if they are sick or showing signs of illness.
  • No child will be handed over or allowed to leave during school hours unless in an emergency.
  • Parents must inform the school in case of any planned leave or absence.
  • Parents are requested to avoid sending medicines in the child’s bag unless specifically discussed with the teacher or school office.

Holidays

  • 2nd and 4th Saturdays are holidays for children.
  • Public and festival holidays will be communicated in advance.
  • School may declare occasional holidays due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., weather conditions or official instructions); parents will be informed promptly.
  • Parents should ensure their child returns to school on time after holidays to maintain continuity in learning.

Communication & Administration

  • Any concerns about fees or installments should be addressed at the school office only.
  • Class teachers are not authorized to discuss financial matters.
  • Label all belongings (tiffin, bottles, bags, jackets).
  • For academic concerns, parents can meet teachers during PTM days or by prior appointment.
  • Any change in address, contact number, or emergency contact person must be updated at the school office immediately.
